Wolly the whale

Wolly the whale

Lived in the sea

But one sad day

She was found in a bay.

Animals’doctors

Took care of the whale

And found that her stomach

Was full of debris.
Plastic and trash
Had caused great unease
Inside poor Wolly
Who could no longer eat

They tried to save her

So Wolly was well

And put on a ship

Was released in the sea .

But many others die: 

Sea turtles and fish

If we still go on

Throwing trash in the sea .

So when we don’t need 

A thing anymore

Let’s try to reuse it

Recycling in some way .

And if it’s not possible 

We can throw it all

In special containers

Created for this .

There’s one for the green waste

Another for food scraps

For paper, for plastic

For metal or glass.

E non vorrei nasconder più, ma

ufficialmente rammendar

con garbo quel vecchio telo liso che

m’è costato tanto dolore e

cenere in passato.

Ora questo indumento è azzurro

come il mare.
